Crysis Remastered Trilogy Surprise Launched on Steam

- Advertisment -

Both Crysis 2 Remastered and Crysis 3 Remastered surprise launch on Steam, completing the Remastered Trilogy on the platform.

The full Crysis Remastered Trilogy has now been added to the Steam platform, with a special discount to celebrate. The Crysis Remastered Trilogy had launched last year on a variety of platforms. These remasters aimed to give each game a fresh coat of paint, allowing them to give more immersive visuals with the usage of ray tracing, high definition textures, and more.

While the remasters of the second and third games were released last year, the Steam platform only saw the release of the first Crysis Remastered game in 2021. At the time, the only option for PC gamers to play the second or third remastered Crysis games was through the Epic Games Store and its associated software. A year after these remastered releases, the entire Crysis Remastered Trilogy is available for purchase on Steam.

With the launch of Crysis Remastered on Steam, gamers will get a discount to celebrate its release. The launch discount will be 40% off right out of the gate, and if someone already owns the first Crysis Remastered in their Steam library, they are eligible for an additional 25% off. All three games can be bought in a bundle as well, which offers a collective 50% off. This discount will be available until November 22, so gamers have a limited time to take advantage of this discount.

The official YouTube account for the franchise released a trailer to celebrate the Steam release, where it shows the remastered visuals of Crysis on the Steam platform, along with brief snippets of gameplay and cutscenes from the trilogy. This includes a visual upgrade to 1080p or 4K resolution, along with the game running at 60 FPS to emphasize the game’s fast-paced gameplay. This is an upgrade from the original’s 720p resolution and 30 FPS framerate.

While the first Crysis remaster had a mixed reception, the recent user reviews of the second and third Crysis remasters have been getting some more positive reception. Gamers commented on this trailer about how these releases make it complete, along with being able to draw in newer fans as well. While these games have been available for other platforms for at least a year now, the last two games being on the Steam platform should make it easier for gamers to have them on one consistent platform.

Crysis Remastered Trilogy is now available on PC, PS4, Switch, Xbox One.
